Dr. Brian Vasicek, PT, DPT, OCS, is a highly skilled orthopedic physical therapist at Back To You Osteopractic Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation in Royal Oak, Michigan. With expertise in functional manual medicine, he specializes in integrated functional exercise, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and HVLAT spinal manipulation.
Dr. Vasicek earned his bachelor’s degrees in biology and health sciences from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1998, followed by a master’s degree in physical therapy in 2000. Later, he obtained his transitional doctorate in 2020. Certified in dry needling and functional manual medicine, he is recognized as a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Vasicek enjoys hiking and cherishes family time with his two school-aged children.

Yes. Since we are an insurance-based practice, we require a referral or prescription. It should be dated within 30 days of your initial evaluation. If you do not have a current PCP or need help obtaining a prescription, we have providers that we recommend in the areas surrounding our clinics that we can refer you to.
During your initial visit, you'll undergo a comprehensive evaluation where one of our skilled therapists will assess your condition, discuss your medical history, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.
The duration of therapy sessions may vary depending on your specific treatment plan and needs. Typically, sessions last one hour.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and access the area being treated. Athletic attire or loose-fitting clothing is often suitable for therapy sessions.
Yes! We participate with most major insurance policies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, HAP, UHC, Medicare, Medicaid, VA Optum Community Care, Auto Insurance, and more. Please let our staff know your insurance provider and we can confirm the details of your coverage in regard to visiting our clinic.
The number of therapy sessions required varies depending on the nature and severity of your condition, as well as your individual progress. Your therapist will discuss your treatment plan and expected timeline during your initial evaluation.
